The Right Places to Write

I don't know about you guys, but when I write, my best thoughts come when I am in a location that allows me to feel comfortable, relaxed, and inspired. Depending on your work/school schedule and where you live, it can be hard to find an accessible yet inspirational writing spot.
Here are some of my favorite places to write:
Outside on a park bench/on a picnic blanket in the grass
Cozy up with your laptop or notebook on a nearby park bench or on a blanket in the grass, and immerse yourself in nature! Picture swirls or fresh air tickling your skin and the radiant sunshine illuminating your body. The environment's electrifying energy inspires impeccable writing.
My favorite nature locations in the Bay Area:
-The University of California Botanical Garden at Berkley (I love to grab a chocolate almond croissant from Fournée Bakery and settle down on one of the benches in the rose garden area of the Botanical Garden)
-Hap Magee Park
-The Lafayette Reservoir
-Tennessee Valley
-Rock City, Mt. Diablo
Coffee Shop
As dark roast aromas fill my nostrils and I take a bite of my avocado toast, happiness settles in my belly. Hunger satisfied, I'm overcome with a magnetic energy, and as I look up, I spot dozens of other hard-working customers typing away on their laptops. How could I not be inspired? Plus: reliable wifi, a plethora of charging outlets, full-day hours, and an unrestricted stay period.
My favorite coffee shops in the Bay Area:
-The Coffee Shop in Lafayette
-Philz Coffee
-Sideboard in Danville
-Basque Boulangerie
Home
For me, it is crucial to be comfortable while writing. As tempting as it seems, though, I recommend not writing in bed. Instead, I like to create cozy spaces in my living quarters. With a six-person family, my house is usually pretty noisy, but I have found a few hidden areas in my home that tend to be quieter. I also love to get up early on the weekends and begin my day writing on the couch in my family room. I snuggle up with my two dogs and a hot glass of peppermint tea, and I find that some of my best writing happens during this time of day. Another one of my favorite home writing locations is on the outside porch couch. Although writing outside may seem like a bad idea, especially during the winter, when accompanied by blankets and warm drinks, I find I stay comfortably warm. The cool breeze, in fact, is very refreshing for the mind :)
Botanical Garden Tennessee Valley Coffee Shop in Lafayette
Theres nothing better than cozying up in a coffee shop to dig into an essay! I also love all of the bay area spots that you mentioned; each one is equally inspiring!
I love Tennessee Valley too! Super cool pic by the water there! Fresh air always gets my creativity flowing :)
